• Upon joining Discord, I landed in #start-here but could not write any messages without verifying my account first via phone number
• I could see every single channel which was very confusing

• After verifying my account, I could still not send any messages to the #start-here channel
• There was no instruction on which channel to go to or how to use CAPTCHA to verify my account

• I was then sent a welcome message in the #welcome channel, which made things confusing.

• I then verified

• I was then able to send a message successfully in #start-here
