We call for an agreement that media platforms are accountable to the people they affect, so our top priority is the safety of Joystream viewers, creators and partners. We strive to convey a spirit of thirst for experimentation, inspiration, and a desire to create something ethical and dynamic. This is only possible if everyone involved supports our initiative. That's why it's important that every Joystream user knows the rules of the community and understands why it's so important to follow them.

Inappropriate content

Joystream is committed to complying with local laws when delivering content. We take all complaints seriously and respond to reported incidents as quickly as possible. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement. Report Abuse

We ask authors and viewers to report content they find inappropriate.

Joystream staff reviews such reports and takes action if necessary:

• Flag videos that violate community guidelines as inappropriate;
• Report to gateway operators so that they can block content.

We are in close contact with the gateway operators and make decisions together.

Unacceptable on the Joystream platform:

Violent scenes and obnoxious images

• Calls to commit violent acts against individuals or a specific group of people.
• Fights involving minors.
• Video, audio recordings and images of traffic accidents, natural disasters, street fights, physical assaults, sacrifices, torture, protests, riots, looting, medical procedures, and consequences of wars and acts of terrorism or other similar material (such as footage of dead bodies) that are intended to shock viewers.
• Videos and images of bodily fluids, such as blood or vomit, added with the intent to shock or disgust viewers.
• Images of dead bodies with serious mutilation.

Content that shows animal cruelty

• Images of animals being pitted against each other or forced to fight.
